Jan. 2, 2020 - At FirePoint, Wichita State University students work with Army officials, private industry and academics. The combination of experience, exposure to those areas and networking puts students in position to consider different career paths.

Dec. 6, 2019 -- It's that time of year where students caffeine to make it through, are sleep deprived and stressed to the max because of final exams. Cramming is the pits and so are finals.

Dec. 4, 2019 --  Master of Innovation Design students Kristyn Smith and Max Hinman designed MEBO with students in mind. The app lets students know of events and activities happening around campus. MEBO helps students stay aware of all the resources college has to offer. 

Dec. 2, 2019 -- I went across Wichita State asking students the same question: "What makes a great Shocker?" This video is a short compilation of their heartfelt responses.

Nov. 18, 2019 - Shocker Share a Meal is a texting service that alerts current WSU students via notification when there is leftover, free food available on campus. The service began in August of 2019 and helps reduce food waste and insecurity on campus.

Nov. 1, 2019 -- Verdict: Wichita’s charming original espresso café is conveniently close to campus but far enough away to be fresh, and sports some quality drinks at reasonable prices.

Nov. 1, 2019 - President-elect Jay Golden’s introduction speech indicates he learned much about Wichita State’s history and its mission. He spoke of reducing cost for students, of applied learning, the importance of the humanities and critical thinking and ties with business.

Oct. 30, 2019 -- The Wichita State Police Department has always focused on making WSU a safe, inviting place. And Police Chief Rodney Clark, who joined the WSU team in July 2018, has implemented several new initiatives in his first year to improve on the department’s mission.

Oct. 14, 2019 - River Vista Boathouse is one-year-old and Wichita State rowing is enjoying benefits of its new home with current students and recruits.

Sept. 25, 2019 - Agent Ink Apparel has partnered with Wichita State to become the official outfitter for WSU Varsity Esports. They recently delivered custom jerseys to the team and released the final design on social media.

Sept. 17, 2019 - Aaron Austin, Wichita State associate vice present, student affairs and dean of students, joined in with Phi Beta Sigma members to stroll during a Yard Show to open the school year.

Sept. 17, 2019 -- The National Institute for Aviation Research’s (NIAR) Advanced Virtual Engineering and Testing Labs (AVET) will house labs that are currently located in the Institute’s headquarters on Mid-Campus Dr. The new space and equipment for the labs will enable the Institute to expand its work volume, hire more employees and provide more precise testing for its clients.
